Reviewed by: jfierro Date: 12/21/1999 Follows the lives of four women singers working at a nightclub during the turbulent Hong Kong of the late 1960's; and in particular the one singer who made it big, but had to sacrifice the love of her life. Told in a series of flashback sequences taking place over two decades. A bit sappy, but still well worth watching. Highlighted by strong performances from relatively unknown performers. I believe this was a successful play first.
