A Hong Kong film-obsessed fan finds himself in possession of the Monkey King's staff. Transported back to ancient China, he is known as the "Seeker", a prophet who is sent to bring the staff back to the Monkey King. The Monkey King, however, is imprisoned in stone by the evil power-hungry Jade Warlord. While the "Seeker" knows no kung fu, he receives training from a drunken kung fu master and a mysterious silent monk. Together with a revenge seeking female warrior, the seeker must find his destiny and save the Monkey King so that he can defeat the Jade Warlord and his tyrannical rule. |
