Biography
 
  World acclaimed and award winning film actress. Born on September 20, 1964 (which was the Mid-Autumn Festival), she studied at the St. Paul Primary School in Hong Kong. When she was 8 years old, she moved with her family to the UK and spent her youth in Kent, England. After graduating from high school she worked as a bookstore clerk in London. In 1982, she was picked up by scouts of an advertising company during her vacation in Hong Kong. She then began to work as a part-time model. In 1983, she won the runner-up in the "Miss Hong Kong Beauty Pageant" and "Miss Photogenic", and thus entered the entertainment industry. In the same year, she went to the United Kingdom to participate in the "Miss World Beauty Pageant" and was selected in the top 15.

TVB signed her to a contract, and in 1984 she starred in her first TV series "Draw a Rainbow". After the show was broadcast, it attracted the attention of director Wang Jing, so Wang Jing invited her to star in the comedy movie "The Frog Prince ". This film was her screen debut.
